All Things Cascadas May 2021
Club continues to thrive in spite the ongoing COVID concerns. Staff continue to take full health and safety measures including enhanced cleaning, social distancing, mandatory mask wearing and a lot more.
At the present time and per CDC requirements, Members and guests returning to the U.S. are still required to have a negative COVID antigen test no more than 72 hours before their flight. Club has arranged for the test to be taken on site at a reduced rate of $17 per person for those interested and the test can be taken at a variety of hospitals and clinics in town. Since the requirement began January 26, Club has tested hundreds of members and guests. The Club is prepared to assist in case of a necessary quarantine in their villa and necessary precautions and able to coordinate medical attention to be provided.

With the vaccine becoming more common, and COVID counts on the decline, occupancy in town and at Club Cascadas is on the rise. If you’re ready to travel…come on down! And if you are not quite ready, don’t let your villa sit empty. COVID Compensation: For our members and guests that could not come down last year during weeks 13-26 when the resort was closed or severe travel restrictions were enforced, remember your Board of Directors has authorized a no cost COVID Compensation Week for you to come back and use any available Association owned villa subject to availability through the end of 2021. This is also true for our Canadian members that could not come down this year due to the Canadian lock down.
Club to remain open in September: Your Club closes to members and guests every year for two weeks in September to keep your resort fresh and updated. Although maintenance is being done all the time, the goal is to do the big, noisy jobs during the two weeks when we’re closed. This year your Board of Directors has decided to remain open to help accommodate members that could not travel over the past two years due to COVID and no disruptions to the common areas. First priority is for members with a COVID Compensation week that could not come down. Next is for members that were not comfortable traveling due to COVID concerns and they missed their regular week. And as of May 1, any member or guest can reserve any open villa for these two weeks, September 16-23 and 23-30 at half off as our way to welcome you back home. Club is Better than Ever
No matter how you look at it, your beautiful Club is doing better than ever!
• Comment cards coming from members and guests are consistently positive with 99.2% showing as Excellent or Above •Average on the Overall Rating category.
•Delinquency remains very low on Maintenance Fees, presently at less than 2%.
•Well-funded Capital Reserves than ever that continue to provide for financial strength and renovations without a special assessment.
•By the end of 2021, over 70% of the total villas will have completed its renovations, while upgrades to common areas and infrastructure improvements continue to take place.

Your on-site management team continues to improve the pre-arrival process to help your vacation get off to a great start. At least one week prior to your arrival, please remember to complete and send in your Pre-Arrival Form where you can let the front desk know what time you are arriving so we can have your villa ready and waiting, requests grocery’s to be stocked in your villa, purchase travel insurance, request on site services and much more. Travel insurance is also available upon check in as an option to members at a greatly reduced cost and excellent coverage, including but not limited to COVID treatment, lodging and meal expenditures if quarantine is required. New Villa Delfin 23J Update
We are almost done building the brand-new Villa Delfin 23J where the spa used to be in building 23. Grand opening is scheduled for week 27! This ground-floor, two-bedroom villa will have its own private jacuzzi and large sandy patio area. And…Mark Giddings has found a way to add a third bathroom to the design. Now, when there are added guests using the living area for sleeping, they have their own bath. Over half of the weeks have already been pre-sold but there are still great weeks available and no interest financing available from your Club. Our ground floor inventory has become more and more popular as an option to our members that would rather avoid stairs. Discounted pre-opening pricing goes away after week 27. Member’s Rental and Resale Program: Just a reminder your Club wants you and your family to enjoy your time every year for many years to come. But life happens and if you can’t come one year or feel it’s time to sell, your Club offers a safe, reliable, law abiding program to help. Attempts to rent or sell privately have serious risks, responsibilities and Mexican tax penalties for non-compliance. Your Board of Directors has published a list of Considerations you should review before trying to rent or sell privately.
